Hey there I just had to take a minute to write about how wonderful of an experience it has been to work with and be worked out by Robert Palmer over the last 3 years. This is a trainer who is beyond his years maturity-wise. I say this because many folks are into trends (be it diet, exercise, programs) and while having structures and programs are helpful to accomplishing tasks/goals, Rob understands fully that there are "No Quick Fixes" when you are really about long term transformational healthy life changes. 
His entire plan is to make sure you are not dependent upon him forever from the get go. This is unique as there are many other professionals (personal trainers, agencies, therapists, etc...) who have not quite grasped this after years of practice. Actually Rob creates a healthy inter-dependent relationship from the very start because he understands that your individual/independent attempts have not fully been working and that a complete dependence on his programs is not healthy either. 
I could spend lots of time talking about all his expertise in terms of weight training, weight management, tailoring specific programs to your day to day needs or athletic goals/abilities, his commitment to checking in on off days regarding diet, attitude, etc...however, it seems much more important to me that I emphasize Rob's ability to "help you get a sense of your own power" as any good educator, leader, organizer, and/or healer does. Rob understands that empowering you to train harder, eat healthier, and/or be better cannot possibly be a part of his job description as that is the work that needs to come from within. What Rob does wonderfully is ask vital questions, connect personally with you, and get to the root causes behind why things are not going as effectively as possible for you and why you are not achieving your goals. It's in this process that Rob provides the necessary container for examining this of oneself and getting to some tangible and reasonable goals/routines that can be built upon and mastered for exponentially increasing results for years to come.
Clearly it is with no hesitation that I recommend you try out some sessions with Rob to determine if he is right for you. I wish you all the luck in your health and hope that you can enhance your lifestyle in new and exciting ways.

I've been working with Rob for the last 4 months and have been really excited by the results thus far. I've lost about 15 lbs in and that's not calculating the muscle that I've been able to put on.
Rob is highly educated on all aspects of fitness, nutrition, and health and typically has an answer to my questions and if he doesn't he follows up later that day with an email to a link to a question I asked. Hi everyone! I'm writing this testimonial on my own volition because I've been working with Rob over the post 4 months or so and have never had as good or as dedicated of a trainer. I gained around 10 pounds when I moved to NYC and fell off a long standing fitness routine. My confidence took a hit alongside how fit I felt. From the first day working with Rob I knew he'd change my body, my outlook and my life. I believe everyone can workout or lose weight or eat healthy foods on their own. I think we work with trainers because motivation and support can be really important in times of need. Rob's knowledge and dedication to his own journey are inspiring. When I first met Rob, I was someone who almost never worked out or cared about what I was eating. I was clueless when it came to exercise and my body reflected that.
However Rob was friendly, knowledgable and extremely motivating from Day 1.
He not only helped me build strength, lose inches and gain confidence, but also he helped me understand my body and my habits better. His workouts were always fun and free from judgment. Rob was encouraging every step of the way, with monitoring my diet and provided motivation even outside of the gym as well as followed up with how I was doing and feeling every few days. He was accommodating with my medical issues and helped me push pass the mental block I had against believing I could be a 100% healthy.
After a few short weeks with Rob in my life, I began to feel slimmer, stronger and believed that I could achieve my fitness goals for the first time in my life. I hated working out until Rob showed me that workouts can be a blast and how exciting the process of self improvement can be.

I do not have an innate proclivity toward working out; it doesn’t just come naturally to me. Even walking into the gym (admittedly the one in my building) can be a huge struggle. And so working out alone usually means I’ll shave the corners and take shortcuts. I won’t push myself hard enough, and won’t prepare the right mix of exercises and sets to do, leaving me scrambling in the middle of the workout when I need to be moving and keeping my heart rate up.
The solution for me was Rob. He always on time, always prepared, always present and focused on the exercise at hand. He does the hard work for me—all I need to do is show up and put some muscle into it (pun intended). This structure has allowed me to stay consistent with my exercise lifestyle for the past 16 months, even during the worst of times, when my eating was dismal and my motivation low. Rob has been patient and non-judgmental throughout, only encouraging me to get back on the horse and do what I can to tread water until the current passes.

There aren’t enough good things I can say about Rob Palmer, the best “trainer” I’ve ever had hands down. Yet he is so much more than just a trainer. Rob is a true fitness professional with knowledge and expertise that spans well beyond what you’d expect from a typical trainer. He understands the body so well, from both an output perspective (training, exertion, muscle interaction and movement), as well as input (health, nutrition, food, rest), and how to navigate that difficult and complex path to ultimately achieve real and personalized goals. His approach is unique and customized to his clients needs and goals. 
Rob also doesn’t stop exploring new ways to challenge and train his clients. He is certified in more areas of fitness than I can count, and always brings a fresh and motivating approach to our sessions. 
I’ve been training with Rob for over a year now, and my quality of life has completely changed for the better. I’m 36 years old but in the best shape of my life. I’m eating healthy, challenging myself physically every day, getting stronger through building lean muscle mass, strengthening under active muscles in my body further protecting myself from potential injury, and most importantly learning more about my body and health every day through Rob’s coaching. I have been training with Rob Palmer for over a year now, and I could not be more pleased! I have trained with many personal trainers throughout my life (I am 32 years old), and no one has ever had the breadth of knowledge and expertise that Rob brings to the table.
Firstly, Rob knows how to mix up my workouts for the BEST results – its NEVER boring! From dynamic warmups, cardio training, resistance and weight training, boxing, calisthenics etc…you name it. Rob is the master DJ mixer of workouts. So much so, that I can’t recall ever repeating a workout to the “T”, unless it was part of a circuit where I was challenged with advancing in heavier lifting each round.  He always manages to keep it interesting, challenging, and fresh, which always makes it fun and exciting!
 When it comes to the minor injuries or muscle strains that I’ve encountered occasionally over the year, Rob has the knowledge to accurately pinpoint the issue, work exercises and stretches to help the issue, and on a dime suggest alternative exercises to avoid the issue. He is super attentive,  flexible, and accommodating when it comes to my personal needs and goals.
With all of this, Rob is also SUPER knowledgeable in nutrition and the body in general, and how to compliment certain workout circuits with specific nutritional needs, in order to achieve maximum results..
All in all, Robs sessions are exciting, fun, inspiring, challenging, and the results speak for themselves. He has helped me reach thresholds I thought were drastic or unattainable, by pushing limits. I’ve experienced an incredible transformation in my journey with Rob thus far, and he helped me establish my new and improved lifestyle of good nutrition and consistent exercise. I’ve lost over 12% body weight or 25lbs since I started with Rob, shrunk my waist by 5 inches, and put on a ton of lean muscle. I look and feel better than ever, and look forward to continuing with Rob for a long time, while steadily improving my strength, endurance, and overall physique and health.
