Juices and smoothies are a quick and easy way to help you get your daily serving of fruit and veggies. These two forms of liquid foods are two of the least invasive ways that allow you to get your convenient daily dose of nutrients. Blending and juicing takes about 90% of the work off of your digestive system making the nutrients that you need easily accessible for absorption.
When creating your own at home, it is always important to add whole foods. Although raw fruits and veggies contain more fiber than store bought juice, you can always add extra fiber to your smoothies and fresh juices by placing in a spoonful of the extracted pulp, ground flax and/or chia seeds.
